What sets West Bromwich Albion’s hospitality experience apart
from other football clubs or entertainment venues in the area?
What makes the hospitality
experience at The Hawthorns
truly special? We sat down
with our Venue Sales Manager
Sarah, to uncover the secret to
their success.
About Sarah
“I joined the team as
Commercial Hospitality Sales
Manager back in July 2021 and
my career path has been an
upward trajectory ever since.
I have recently taken over
the Conference and Events
Sales teams so I now manger
both departments. I knew I
always wanted a career in the
Hospitality and Events Industry
with my journey starting at Aston
Villa in 2005 as Conference Sales
Executive. I spent 11 years at
there and worked my way up to
Business Development Manager.
With my mind very much set
on development and careers
growth, I joined the team at
The Belfry as Account Director
for Special Events, where I
spent 6 years.
I’ve always loved being around
Sport (de昀椀nitely a spectator
rather than a participant!) and I
am pleased to be able to bring
that knowledge and skillset to
my role at The Hawthorns and
my growing team!”
I would say our sta昀昀 and service levels set us apart from other
venues. You’re not just a number here, we want you to feel like you
are given a personal service from your 昀椀rst interaction with the sales
team, to when we say goodbye after the match. Our team will go
over and above to make sure you have an enjoyable and memorable
day at The Hawthorns. It’s the little things, the attention to detail,
that makes what we do truly special. Something I’m really proud to
be part of. The other main point of di昀昀erence is that so many Clubs
now outsource their catering operation. By keeping ours in house,
we have full control over the direction of our menus, and experiences
and we can all make a collective e昀昀ort to perfect the experience for
our clients.
Can you provide an overview of the di昀昀erent matchday
hospitality packages available at West Bromwich Albion?
We o昀昀er a range of seasonal packages, eight in total, which range
from our entry level lounge access with padded seat in the East
Stand, The Bassett Suite, through to our most exclusive membership,
The Darren Moore, located in the West Stand, which marries high
quality 昀椀ne dining with the best views and seats in the house. We
have had a fantastic uptake in the closed season which has seen
many of those suites sell out this season, which we are thrilled about.
For those guests who want to cherry pick the odd game during the
season, we have a handful of Executive Boxes, The Richardson Suite,
our main match to match restaurant, The Millichip, our 昀椀ne dining
restaurant in The East Stand, and Matchday Sponsorships available
to book on a game-by-game basis.
Are there any special experiences or exclusive access that
hospitality guests can enjoy?
We have 3 sponsorship packages, which are perfect if you are
entertaining clients, or celebrating with friends or family. These
packages combine inclusive hospitality with unique access, such as
a behind the scenes pre-match tour, as well as a walk out and photo
opportunity in front of a packed stadium just before kick-o昀昀. As a
lasting memento of the day, you are then presented with either a
framed signed shirt or matchball, depending on what are sponsoring.
For smaller parties who are celebrating a special occasion or want to
add an extra special touch to their hospitality experience, we o昀昀er a
celebration package which can be added on. Celebration packages
include a celebration cake, former player presentation, signed card,
昀氀owers or champagne, gift and pitch visit following the match.
